New Clients
Thrive Online Speech Therapy provides natural environment, connection-based speech therapy services both virtually, in Washington State and Oregon, and in-person, in Vancouver, Washington and specializes in services for children and adolescents ages 5-21 years old, and adults 21+ years old.
Consultations
Complimentary consultations are provided for all prospective online therapy clients. During this virtual visit, you will get a chance to experience a demonstration of online speech therapy, share about your goals for yourself or your family member, and ask me any questions you may have about beginning online speech therapy services. This gives us the opportunity to meet and determine if online services are the right fit for you or your family member.
Assessments
I provide comprehensive assessments for children ages 5 years through adolescence, and adults from 21 years throughout the lifespan.
I accept recent assessments from outside agencies (e.g. evaluation from your school district SLP, acute/post-acute SLP, etc.) as a basis for my treatment services. To ensure continuity of care, I require that you provide a copy of your assessment report, or submit a request for release of information to share with Thrive Online Speech Therapy.
A referral from your primary physician is required prior to your evaluation and treatment, if you plan to go through your insurance for speech therapy services.
Early Intervention Resources
If you are interested in receiving a speech language evaluation for a child aged birth through 5 years, please visit the Center for Disease Control and Prevention to find an early intervention program in your area. This program is available in every state and territory, and it is provided at a free or reduced cost to any eligible child from birth to 5 years old.
Financial Policy
Thrive Online Speech Therapy accepts private payments in the form of debit or credit card and HSA/FSA card payments.
We also accept in-network insurance payment options. It is the sole duty of the responsible payer to call their insurance company to confirm coverage for speech therapy services. All services not covered by your insurance policy will be billed directly to you. The responsible payer is responsible for all costs and fees not covered by their insurance company. Co-payment or coinsurance payment is due at the time services are rendered.
The responsible payer must agree to a one-time enrollment on our secure automatic debit system to increase efficiency and ease of payment for all parties. This allows the clinician more time spent on planning for Your speech therapy sessions to ensure that you receive quality service.
If you are out-of-network and would like to partner with us for speech therapy services, upon your request, a superbill can be provided for Your submission to your insurance for out-of-network service reimbursement. It is the responsible payer’s responsibility to call their insurance company to confirm coverage for speech therapy services. Insurance policy’s may vary according to their reimbursement rate, therefore, it is the responsible payor’s responsibility to ask for that rate and decide if they would like to continue with Thrive for out-of-network speech therapy services. As a courtesy, if you decide to partner with us for speech therapy services, we can provide you with a general guideline of, “How to File for Out-of-Network Benefits. ”
Attendance & Cancellation Policy
In order to make progress in speech therapy, clients must do their part by attending and participating in their scheduled sessions. I value a partnership built on open communication, trust, and full participation from my clients and their caregivers. If an appointment needs to be rescheduled or canceled, please communicate the change prior to 24 hours before your scheduled appointment time.
There is a $45 fee for missed appointments and cancellations with less than 24 hours notice. This fee must be paid prior to scheduling your next session; insurance will not provide reimbursement for this fee. Exceptions are only made for illnesses, emergencies, and inclement weather. Clients with three no-shows and/or last-minute cancellations with a less than 80% attendance rate will be given a termination of service notice and be discharged from speech therapy services.
Furthermore, sessions are scheduled back-to-back. If you are going to be late for your therapy session, please reach out via telephone call or text at the following number 360-797-5313. I will allow a 10-minute grace period and will be happy to provide services within this 10-minute grace period. However, if it extends beyond the 10-minute mark, I will consider this a missed appointment/cancellation with less than 24 hours notice and will enforce my termination of service policy. A $45 missed appointment fee must be paid prior to your next appointment.
